Introduction
No — you don’t need to enable anything in Shopify settings for Roadmap to work. Our team handles the installation and theme code injection, and most Roadmap features run natively without any extra setup in Shopify.
That said, there are a few optional Shopify settings you may want to check, depending on the features you plan to use.
Shopify Settings to Review (Optional)
1. Discounts
- Roadmap manages its own discounts and GWPs.
- You don’t need to turn on Shopify discounts for Roadmap to work, but you may want to review existing discount codes to avoid conflicts.
2. Checkout Settings

- No manual changes are required, but you can enable features like Shopify Checkout Extensibility to add more custom checkout elements if desired.
3. Customer Accounts

- This lets customers log in, track points, manage subscriptions, and view rewards.
4. Notifications & Emails

- Roadmap adds loyalty, review, or subscription notifications on top — you may want to check your Shopify notification templates to avoid duplication.
