How do I test that the app is working correctly?

Introduction

After installation, it’s a good idea to test Roadmap before going live. Testing ensures that your loyalty, reviews, subscriptions, bundles, and discounts are set up correctly and displaying as expected in your storefront.

This guide shows you how to run quick test scenarios for each feature.

Step 1: Use a Test Customer

• Create a test customer in your Shopify admin → Customers.
• Or place a test order with your own email address (use Shopify’s bogus gateway if you want to avoid real charges).

Step 2: Test Each Feature

Loyalty

1. Place a test order.
2. Check that points are awarded to the test customer.
3. Try redeeming points for a discount or product.

Reviews

1. Submit a review on a product page.
2. Check your Reviews dashboard in Roadmap to confirm it’s recorded.
3. Approve/publish it and confirm it displays on the product page.

Subscriptions

1. Add a subscription product to your cart.
