How do I view and manage customer subscriptions?

Introduction

As a merchant, you can view and manage all active, paused, canceled, or failed subscriptions right from your admin. You’ll be able to see who’s subscribed, when their next order is, and make updates on their behalf when needed.

This guide shows you how to access, filter, and manage customer subscriptions.

1. View all customer subscriptions

  1. Go to your Roadmap Admin → Subscriptions → Manage Subscriptions.
  2. You’ll see a list of all subscriptions, including:
    • Customer name and email
    • Product subscribed to
    • Status (Active, Paused, Canceled, Failed)
    • Next order date
    • Delivery frequency

Use filters to view by:

  • Subscription status
  • Frequency
  • Next order date
  • Specific products

2. Manage a specific customer’s subscription

To update a customer’s subscription:

  1. Click on the subscription entry to open details.
  2. You’ll see full subscription info, including:
    • Billing history
    • Upcoming orders
    • Product(s) and frequency
    • Delivery and payment details

3. Available actions

From the subscription detail screen, you can:

  • Pause the subscription
  • Resume a paused subscription
  • Cancel the subscription
  • Change delivery frequency
  • Reschedule the next order
  • Add or remove products
  • Manually trigger the next order (“Order now”)
  • Adjust quantity or price (if needed)

👉 All changes are saved in real-time and reflected in future orders.

4. Manage failed or canceled subscriptions

If a subscription has failed (e.g. due to payment issues), you can:

  • View the current status of the dunning (retry) process
  • Retry the payment manually
  • Update payment or contact info if needed
  • Mark the subscription as failed or resolved

For canceled subscriptions:

  • View the full history
  • Recreate a new subscription manually if needed

5. View by customer

To find a specific customer:

  1. Go to Roadmap → Customers.
  2. Search by name or email.
  3. Click into their profile to view all their:
    • Active subscriptions
    • Loyalty points (if enabled)
    • Order history and engagement

 Yes — customers can log in and manage subscriptions from their account page. You can always make changes on their behalf if needed.

Can I edit the product in a subscription?

 Yes — click into the subscription, then choose “Edit Products” to swap or adjust items.

What happens if I cancel a subscription mid-cycle?

 The subscription stops immediately. No further orders will be placed unless reactivated.
