How do I edit or update an existing bundle?

Introduction

Once you’ve created a bundle in Roadmap, you can update it at any time — whether you want to adjust the included products, change the pricing, or refresh the merchandising on its PDP. Roadmap ensures all updates flow through to Shopify automatically, so your store and inventory stay in sync.

Editing a Bundle

  1. Go to Roadmap → Bundles
    • From your Shopify admin, open Apps → Roadmap → Bundles.
  2. Find the Bundle
    • Search or browse for the bundle you want to edit.
  3. Click “Edit”
  • You can update:
      • Bundle name (this is also the Shopify product title).
      • Products/variants included.
      • Quantities required.
      • Discount type and value (% off, fixed discount, fixed price).
      • Market-specific pricing.
    • PDP content (title, description, images).
  1. Save Changes
    • Updates are applied instantly.
    • Shopify automatically reflects the changes in product listings, cart, and checkout.

👉 Example: Update “Fragrance Discovery Set” from 6 minis → 8 minis, and adjust bundle price from $99 → $120.

Updating PDP Content

  • Since each bundle creates a native Shopify product, you can edit merchandising directly in Shopify:
    • Add/edit images.
    • Update descriptions or upsell copy.
    • Assign collections or tags for storefront placement.

👉 Tip: Keep PDP content aligned with seasonal campaigns (e.g. “Holiday Gift Box” vs. “Spring Essentials Set”).

Deleting or Replacing Products in a Bundle

  • If you remove a product from the bundle, it will no longer appear in new orders.
  • Existing orders are not affected.
  • If a product goes out of stock, the bundle automatically becomes unavailable until restocked (since bundles can’t be partially fulfilled).

Best Practices

  • Use descriptive names → Remember, the bundle name = Shopify product title.
  • Test after editing → Place a dummy order to confirm pricing, cart behavior, and inventory updates.
  • Be mindful of Analytics → If you change the products inside a bundle, historical Analytics still reference the bundle as originally sold.
  • Don’t delete bundles unnecessarily → Editing keeps SEO/product history intact; deleting creates a new Shopify product.

Common Questions

  • Will editing affect past orders?
    • No — changes only apply to future orders.
  • Can I rename a bundle later?
    • Yes — but remember, this updates the Shopify product title customers see.
  • What happens if I delete a product from the bundle?
    • The bundle won’t include that product in future orders. Past orders remain unchanged.
  • Do I need to re-add bundles to collections after editing?
    • No — bundles stay in assigned collections unless you manually change them.
