How do customers redeem bundle offers?

Introduction

Customers don’t need to do anything special to redeem a bundle in Roadmap. Bundles are created as native Shopify products with their own PDPs and pricing rules. When a customer adds a bundle to their cart, Roadmap automatically applies the correct discount — no codes required.

How Redemption Works

  1. Customer finds the bundle
    • Bundles are displayed as normal products in your store (with their own PDP).
    • You can also promote them on other product pages, in collections, or via marketing campaigns.
  2. Customer adds the bundle to cart
    • The bundle shows up as a parent product with sub-items beneath it.
    • Customers cannot remove or change individual sub-items.
  3. Bundle pricing applies automatically
    • The discount rule you set (% off, fixed discount, or fixed price) is applied at the parent bundle level.
    • Customers see the savings immediately in cart and checkout.
  4. Checkout and fulfillment
    • At checkout, the same parent + sub-item structure is shown.
    • Behind the scenes, Shopify + Roadmap break the order into SKUs for accurate inventory and ERP fulfillment.

👉 Customers simply shop and add bundles like normal products — Roadmap handles all the logic.

Example Customer Journey

  • Bundle: “Any 3 Candles for $50” (normally $75).
  • Customer goes to the bundle PDP or sees it promoted on a candle product page.
  • They select their 3 candles (if mix & match enabled) and add the bundle to cart.
  • Cart shows:
    • Parent: 3-Candle Bundle – $50.
    • Sub-items: Candle A, Candle B, Candle C.
  • Checkout confirms: Total = $50.
  • Inventory reduces by 1 for each candle SKU.

Do Customers Need Codes?
