What is the Loyalty feature and how does it work?

Introduction

The Loyalty feature in Roadmap helps you build a rewards program that drives repeat purchases and customer retention. With Loyalty, you can reward customers for purchases, referrals, reviews, and more — and let them redeem points instantly at checkout without the hassle of manual discount codes.

How Loyalty Works

1. Ways to Earn
2.  Customers earn points for actions like:
   • Purchases
   • Writing reviews
   • Referrals
   • Sign-ups or profile completions

👉 You choose which actions are rewarded and how many points are granted.

1. Redeeming Rewards (Codeless by Default)

• Customers can redeem points without creating a discount code.
• Redeem options appear through UI elements like:
  • Redeem cards → On PDPs or in account pages.
  • Cart dropdown → Apply points before checkout.
  • Checkout dropdown → Apply points during checkout.
• If a customer chooses to redeem:
  • Roadmap automatically creates and applies the correct discount at checkout.
  • The discount also shows in the cart for clarity.
• If the customer doesn’t complete checkout:
  • The discount is canceled.
  • The redeemed points are instantly restored to their balance.

👉 This ensures customers never lose points due to abandoned carts.
