Introduction
If you’ve created a bundle in Roadmap but it isn’t showing on your storefront, don’t worry — it usually comes down to product visibility, availability, or theme setup. Bundles are created as native Shopify products, but depending on your theme, you may also need to assign the correct product template for the bundle to display correctly.
Here’s how to troubleshoot.
1. Check Product Status in Shopify
- Bundles appear in Shopify as products. If the product status is Draft, it won’t appear in your storefront.
- 👉 Fix: Go to Shopify → Products → [Your Bundle] and set status to Active.
2. Confirm Sales Channel Availability
- By default, bundles must be published to the Online Store channel.
- 👉 Fix: In the bundle product settings, ensure Online Store is selected under Sales Channels.
3. Review Collection Assignments
- If you’re relying on collections for display, check that the bundle is:
- Added to the correct collection.
- Matching any automated collection rules.
- 👉 Fix: Assign the bundle manually or adjust collection conditions.
4. Check the Product Template (Theme Setup) ⚠️
- Some Shopify themes require a dedicated product template for bundles.
- If the bundle is assigned to the wrong template, it may not display correctly.
👉 Fix:
- In Shopify Admin, go to Products → [Your Bundle] → Theme Template.
- Switch the template to the correct Roadmap Bundle Template (if available).
- If no bundle template exists, contact Roadmap Support — our team may need to create or configure one for your theme.
5. Verify Market Availability
- If you restricted a bundle to specific regions, it may be hidden for other customers.
- 👉 Fix: Check the bundle’s Markets settings in Shopify or Roadmap.
6. Inventory or Product Issues
- If any product in the bundle is out of stock, the bundle will also be unavailable.
- 👉 Fix: Restock the missing item or update bundle contents.
7. Cache / Session Issues
- Sometimes bundles don’t appear immediately after creation due to browser/theme caching.
- 👉 Fix: Test in an incognito/private browser window.
Common Questions
- Do bundles always need a special template?
- Not always — but some themes require Roadmap devs to configure a bundle product template.
- What if I don’t see my bundle PDP in Shopify?
- Make sure the product status is Active and assigned to Online Store.
- Why does the PDP exist but not show in collections?
- Because it wasn’t added to any collections or doesn’t meet collection rules.
- Can bundles still be “hidden” and linked directly?
- Yes — set the product status to Active but uncheck Online Store visibility, then link via email or campaign landing page.
