How do I display bundles on product pages?

Introduction

Roadmap bundles automatically create their own Product Detail Page (PDP) in Shopify, so you can merchandise them like any other product. But you can also promote bundles directly on other product pages to encourage upsells and increase average order value (AOV).

Option 1: Use Shopify Collections

  • Assign bundles to the same collections as their related products.
  • Shopify will automatically show them in collection grids alongside individual products.
  •  👉 Example: Add a “Fragrance Discovery Set” bundle to the “Fragrances” collection, so shoppers browsing single fragrances also see the bundle option.

Option 2: Link Bundles from Product Descriptions

  • Add text or image callouts in the description of related products.
  • Example: On the PDP for Shampoo, include:

“💡 Want the full set? Check out our Shampoo + Conditioner Bundle.”

  • Link directly to the bundle PDP.

Option 3: Use Shopify App Blocks (Recommended)

  • Roadmap provides app blocks that can be placed in Shopify’s theme editor.
  • Add a “Bundle Promotion” block to product pages to highlight relevant bundles.
  • Bundles will display dynamically with add-to-cart options, making it easy for customers to upgrade from a single product to a bundle.

👉 Benefit: Cleaner merchandising than just linking in descriptions.

Option 4: Upsell Widgets or Sections

  • Add bundles in related products or upsell carousels beneath the main product.
  • Example: On the PDP for Individual Candle, display a widget showing “Any 3 Candles for $50 Bundle.”
  • This works well for mix & match bundles.

Option 5: Marketing Landing Pages

  • Create a landing page (e.g., “Bundles & Kits”) where bundles are showcased.
  • From individual PDPs, direct shoppers to that landing page for value-driven options.

Why Display Bundles on Product Pages?

  • Upsell customers → Encourage upgrading from single products to bundles.
  • Highlight savings → Show how much customers save by buying the set.
  • Improve discovery → Shoppers browsing individual products may not think to look for bundles.

Common Questions

  • Can bundles replace product variants on PDPs?
    • No — bundles are separate products, but you can promote them on PDPs with app blocks or links.
  • Do customers see bundle pricing clearly?
    • Yes — bundle PDPs and app blocks display discounted bundle pricing automatically.
  • Can bundles show only on certain PDPs?
    • Yes — app blocks can be placed conditionally on selected products or templates.
  • Will bundles appear in search results too?
    • Yes — since bundles are Shopify products, they appear in search and collections by default.
